The surfaces of application should be clean, free of any soiling, crumbling and non-adhering parts, or non-absorbent, dust, pre-existing paints, etc. Smerald Piscine can be applied by brush, roller or airless (membrane type) with a 1.5 - 2 mm diameter nozzle. It is preferable to wait at least 30 days for the base to mature. Make sure the surface to be treated is dry, mature and free from damp spots. Before proceeding with the application of the paint, it is advisable to wash with a hydro-cleaner to remove dust or loosely adherent residues. As a first coat, the product can be diluted with water at 40/50% in order to uniform and consolidate the base. Leave to dry for 12 hours and then proceed with the application of 2 coats of paint spaced out for at least 12 hours, diluting with water as little as possible. Always apply two coats, spaced at least 12 hours apart, for a consumption of no less than 200 g/m² per coat (about 450 g/m² of total consumption). On large surfaces it is recommended to apply product from the same production batch. Always proceed wet on wet in order to avoid signs of recovery. MAINTENANCE: Maintenance interventions are foreseen, normally every two years, except for special needs. Proceed to detach the old damaged paint, clean the substrate with suitable detergents and remove grease or algae.
