The stand-alone program RSECTION determines the section properties for any thin-walled and massive cross-sections and performs a stress analysis. RSECTION can be connected to the FEA software RFEM and the structural frame analysis software RSTAB. Sections from RSECTION are also available in the RFEM and RSTAB library. Conversely, internal forces from RFEM and RSTAB can be imported into RSECTION. Data can be entered graphically, in tables, by importing a DXF file, or via script.

RFEM is a 3D FEA structural analysis and design software developped by Dlubal Software. The program is used by structural engineers, engineering firms, construction companies, architects, and government agencies to model and analyze complex 3D structures. RFEM is the basis of a modular software system and used to define structures, materials, and loads of planar and spatial structural systems consisting of plates, walls, shells, and members. The program also can be used to create combined structures as well as to model solid and contact elements. A wide range of design standards is supported, for example American, Canadian, Australian, UK and European standards.
