For HPC-40, it was possible to extend the breaking load by 30 % and the fatigue strength by 40 %, as we were able to eliminate the risk of fatigue factors. Existing plants can, of course, be retrotted with the new HPC-40. HPC-40 helps fully utilise the features and functions of a modern ContiRoll® in a fast continuous operation

The cooling and stacking line is the rst section of an intralogistical concept that Siempelkamp develops with the customer: We work with the plant owner to dene the best master-board formats that will allow the later end-product formats to be made without ocuts. We develop all downstream processes for the master board and product on the basis of optimum material ows in constant dialogue with the customer. CMC TEXPAN's roller separators are very suitable for processing fresh and recycled wood; they oer high performance when processing wet or semi-wet wood materials. Their principle of operation is based on the rotation of a group of rollers provided with a specic prole or disc pattern; they are adequately spaced apart, whereby such spacing denes the particle size selected. The material is bouncing on the rollers to separate the fractions. Particles of a size smaller than the gap between the rollers pass through the roller spacing. Larger particles are conveyed by the rollers and discharged. The size of the desired fractions can be simply adjusted by changing the gaps between the rollers and/or by using rollers with dierent patterns. If tolerances are exceeded, higher material and energy consumption are the consequences. MSX, which constantly moves back and forth across the mat before it enters the hot press, maintains tolerances within the optimum range. The result is homogeneous forming in lengthwise and crosswise directions. The enormous technical developments of “Weight per Unit Area Gauges” of the past years are physically not visible. What are the previous limitations of weight per unit area gauges? The x-ray tube needed a cooling device. This resulted in a reduced lifetime. Electronic Wood Systems developed a detector with extremely high sensitivity – probably unmatched in the world. Due to this new detector the net power could be reduced to a small portion of the permitted power.

The plant modules can be adjusted to the respective requirements thus preparing the mat optimally for its compaction in a ContiRoll®. The equipment is designed to produce board thicknesses between 6 and 40 mm without any problem. A typical particle mat former consists of one or two mechanical mat formers for the core layer and two wind sifters for the top and the rear surfaces. The three-layer particleboard thus produced distinguishes by a homogeneous, core layer consisting of coarse particles and two surface layers, the particle size of which is decreasing from the core to the outer faces.

For a perfectly dimensioned secondary heating system signicantly contributes to its eciency. The oil is heated in the boiler house to the temperature required and delivered to the primary circuit. The secondary heating station maintains the temperature in the secondary circuit to the press at set temperature by mixing the oil returning from the press that has already cooled down with the hotter oil of the primary circuit. The thermal oil transfers its thermal energy via hot platens, roller rods, steel belts to the mat to be pressed.
